In 2015, the contest will take place in Tokyo in October, please check our EURAXESS Science Slam Japan 2015 website for details!
Congratulations to Mr Kai NARITA, winner of the EURAXESS Science Slam Japan 2014!
More than 125 of you came to attend and participate to the judging in this second edition of the EURAXESS Science Slam in Japan.
The opening session was opened by Dr MISHIMA, President of the Tokyo Institute of Technology, our host; and Dr KARAPIPERIS, S&T Counsellor to the EU Delegation to Japan. Both of them stressed the importance of communication, at an international scale, for present and future researchers to get their works recognised.
Following were slams from our 5 finalists, all very unique and well executed, presenting research in a variety of fields such as electro-communications, human-machine interfacing, data-driven healthcare, nanoscale polymer arranging or materials for enhanced medicine.
The debating voting sessions, performed by all the attendees after each slam, were extremely lively!
And after more than 40 minutes of debate in total, you all designated Mr NARITA and his presentation, Na-rry Potter and Mg, as our winner!
Stay tuned for more adventures of the Mighty Magnesium in Europe!
Thank you all for coming and see you next year!!
